the days here have gotten hard to pass because the job is jus stupid and irritating...

15th June 2008

well we had a massive cooking session last sunday cos one of our good american frd Brendan quit the job here.

we cooked taco style meal... we fed at least 15 people till full...

Alvin cooked BAK KU TEH with help of a frd. She came here with the packet spices...

unbelievable...and TUNG-I instant noodles...my fave!

had a couple of drinks and it was the end....

it was quite fun...we practically fed anyone who walked into our apartment other than the ah tiongs....

me and my frds each got a farewell present from Brendan.

A 1 gig Sony thumbdrive...i was rather shocked...though its cheap...ITS SONY...

we had a few cooking sessions here and there....

Day of 18th June 2008

we jus marinated and cook chicken thighs a few days back...

jus reminds me of the chicken wings my mum makes...

its not as gd as home but its gd

we hit the nearby bar oso...it is supposed to be fun...but its nothing much...

the drinks there is like soft drinks...LONG ISLAND TEA taste like soft drink...u cant barely taste the alcohol...dumb shit...but its fun...RIKI had fun....

we went to CLEVELAND Rock n Roll museum.

we hang ard the outside cos we dun wanna pay 25 bucks entrance...but the building itself is nice...

after which we had a meal at a american style sandwich parlor or something...

i had a REUBEN sandwich...the amount of sliced roast beef is really alot and very gd!!!

dats american food according to Brendan.

after which we went to Aurora Farms factory outlet...

i bought a Fossil watch for my sis and a NIKE shoe for myself....

the place is very nice...like a laid back farm house area...

during the few weeks here...we had some fun here and there...somethings slips my mind hence i never write here....i will blog when i rem.

but i almost finished all the major roller coasters here

they came by to play the coasters on their way down to chicago

after the last post...
nothing really interesting happened....

Walmart and Meijer is the 2 big supermarket here...and i think its almost bigger than Carrefour
they have everything there BUT i cant find luncheon meat...

Sandusky is a town or city of Cleveland...and practically the place is almost owned by Cedar Pt
It like a dead town till the amusement park opens....

Sandusky Mall is big but nothing to scream abt...big shops...there are cheap stuffs but u have to hunt for it in the shops...
Interestingly the malls and shops here are 1 storey only...whether its the weather or they are lazy to build high rise i dunno...but they have huge carparks...half the carpark can be bigger than Tampines mall size...tiring to jus walk across it..
i would post some pic of it when i can...

Fast food are cheap here... i had 4 roast beef burgers for $5....i jus wanted one...but apparently i understood the advertisement wrongly...haha
Pizza buffet is jus next to where we stay...its cheap and we get employee discounts somemore...
ALL YOU CAN EAT...$6 plus

and i went for a employee bowling and buffet too...
aLL U CAN BOWL AND EAT..(PIZZA) for $10...its like a club...the bowling alley...neon lights, R&B music

I went to Lodi to the factory outlets... its 1 hr plus drive away....
a frd drove us there... things are cheap there...
i bought a few stuff...

On the way to the factory outlets we passed by farm houses...and they are very huge!!!
the best part was we saw AMISH people...who supposedly dun use any technology in their life...dumb ass...
so they were travelling in horse carridges...its freaking amusing... practically all the cars woosed past them... i so wanted to take a pic with them but not convenient to stop on the road...

Alvin had the most funny idea of the day...he said wat if the Amish people took their horse carts to Walmart...how do they park it...? hahaha

so on the way back...at 9pm plus...we met more Amish horse carts...but the best part that amuses my american frd so much was...he spotted back lights on the back of the horse carts...hahaha

and we got pulled over by the police cos he was driving over speed limit a little...and the cop took all our ICs...wtf...like he know how to read a singaporean IC...
then my american frd insisted that the only reason why he check our ICs too was because we are Asians in a White man car...and that look suspicious...hahaaha
the trip was fun in a way...saw funny stuffs here and there

We had mexican food yesterday...supposedly very spicy...
it was gd but its not spicy la...if i can eat it comfortably its nothing ...but apparently it is spicy to the pple here....
Caught Indiana Jones 4 in the movies after dat...i dozed off at the beginning...as it was boring...
but the show was only so so...the previous indy was the best....
Swinging monkeys...wtf...
go watch it and u know wat i mean...

anyway we were sort of invited to a party dis friday night at the apartments opp us
hahha its PAY day and they all spend like crazy on dat day...so we shall see what AMERICANs do at their parties...bloody underage drinkers...
they have to be like 21 to drink here...but most are 18 to 20...

Why Alvin cross the road??

yesterday...i got a day off with alvin and we went to the local mall....
its crap...but we had fun walking thru the shops...

the used games here are freaking cheap...
so is a PS3...its 499 for the new 80 gig which is coming up...
tempted tempted....
some things here are cheap and some are ex....

ever seen a sports shop sell CANOES????
its a canoist and dragonboater dreams....it jus cracks me up....
its 499 USD anyway....

we had a great BK meal...
which nearly cause an accident...we crossed a 4 lane highway hahhaha
they freaking dun have pavements and traffic crossings....
second car have to jam E brakes....in the rain...
and after the BK meal we had to cross the road to get back....hahahha

we got a starbucks voucher for opening acc in a US bank...wth...why cant singapore be the same...
the service level in bank is better than singapore anytime...maybe its in a small town...but its still better anyday!!!!

today i jus came back from a welcome party for all employees...
where they offer free hot dogs and free ride on the roller coaster
alvin suffer a headache from not totally recovering yet hence he didnt take it...

the ride is called TOP THRILL DRAGSTER
i took it with weijing on the first ride...
we got on and when it starts....we dun even have a chance to shout anything till we stopped...
its 10 secs....but ITS FUCKING FUCKING FAST....
its a inverted U shaped where u go vertically up and hit the top over the bend and down spirally
the journey down is almost like free falling 50 FEET
of course we took a second time...hahhaa
but its worth it...

for dis alone...CEDAR PT is really world class roller coaster park....
there are 17 coasters in totally...
yet to try their latest coaster...which i will b4 i leave dis place...

last night...i went over to a neighbour apartment...
i saw real life black rapping to beats only...
its damn cool....i swear i cannot link the words up dat fast and so impromptu....

i have a few pics...to upload but lazy...i will do it on my off day...if i no going anywhere....
BUT those thinking of taking roller coasters...shld really make a trip to CEDAR PT....
